Perspective

I'm disappointed that England lost in the World Cup semi-final - I can remember, just, 1966, and all that - but, overall, I'm nowhere near being as gutted as I was when St. Kilda lost in the AFL Grand Finals - 1997, 2009 and 2010 - I've experienced. Maybe I'm not very patriotic at heart, but maybe it's because I'm just a St Kilda 'tragic'!

  1. Do you watch the British Open golf? High drama on the back nine today!

Front story had Tiger leading after X holes at -7 under par...he is clawing his way back, and earning it, no matter his past foibles.

And Brit Justin Rose was in the thick of it for much of the day. He is Brit, right? There are so many 'Justins' on tour I get them confused...lol!

But paisano Francesco Molinari took the claret jug with a near-flawless performance...36 consecutive bogey-free holes will usually put you n contention.

It was a pleasure to see so many guys in contention...every shot counted!

    :-)

    1. Oh, and Brit Tommy Fleetwood made a fine showing, before faltering late...he's a rising star for sure.

  2. Hello Andy
I have to confess that I'm not a golf afficiando (that was my dad's passion, he was born in Sandwich and regularly caddied at Royal St George's and Princes in his youth), but I did read the reports on the BBC website this morning - four UK players in the first 12 isn't too bad overall, and it's good to see a new nationality get a bit of the limelight.

    Love & best wishes
