A joy for....

....a quarter of an hour. Not a thing of beauty, but an achingly beautiful person, in this instance. A boy, of course, on the Tube on my way to work at lunchtime. A rather different sort of boy, in some ways, than would normally catch my attention, though, and a rather different kind of reaction on my part. As I've said many times, I like the 'all boy' type by far the most, but this boy, wearing a sweatshirt with a Royal Ballet School logo, was what you might expect with such an affiliation, slight, almost elfin, high cheekbones and all. But oh, so, so beautiful. Like a little jewel. And my reaction to him was on that aesthetic level. I didn't, really didn't, want to touch him, he was, thinking about it now, eleven hours or so later, beyond sexuality. All I wanted was what I had for those few minutes, possession of the eyes, just to watch him and luxuriate in his beauty. He never once looked my way, so he couldn't have been disturbed, still less distressed by my absorption. By the time he and his family got off of the train, two stops before 'worktown', I felt close to tears. I certainly won't forget him in a hurry.

Love & best wishes to all

Yes, this kind of thing happens from time to time. You are not alone. Just got back from he weekly supermarket trip. Always a good source of eye-candy at certain times. But every now and then, there is one who stands out above the rest. All one can do is gaze in awe, and suffer in silence.

The last time this happened to me was a couple of weeks agao, in an antique shop. Patiently waiting for his parents to make their mind up about something, there he stood in all his "much too nice to touch" beauty. I couldn't help but find a bitter irony in the little sign nearby that read: "All breakages must be paid for"

    1. Hello Dave
Travelling around London as much as I do, the 'eye candy factor' is something I come up against pretty regularly. And it's very much a double-edged sword, as you suggest. Most of the time, I'd much rather see a beautiful boy than not, but there are occasions when it's almost overwhelming, all the more so because it's a subject that's usually impossible to talk about. I have got K, at least, to unload on, although I do my best not to try her patience too much. She certainly got an earful of beautiful ballet boy the other night!

    2. Dear Sammy

It's always nice to be able to share such experiences with someone who "understands". But of course, such people are hard to find these days. And as you alude to, it can be difficult not to over-do it when off-loading the latest "sighting" to some poor sympathetic soul. I don't have a "K", but I do have a good friend, to whom I sometimes "off-load". The only trouble is that, as often as not, he can't wait to recount some similar encounter to me !

At least we aren't the only ones.

    3. Hello Dave
Kindred souls are certainly hard to find, as, indeed, are sympathetic ears, in our situation. Those that are around are an unmitigated blessing. If you ever need an 'offload', my email is always open.
