The politics of selfishness and greed

So, it's going to be another five years of Cameron and his bunch of millionaire thieves feathering their own nests, and those of their friends, at everyone else's expense. I despair at the electorate's obvious disdain for anything resembling social justice. Vote Conservative - the 'I'm all right, Jack, fuck you' party. Disgusting.

1300 edit: Just about the only bit of good news of the day - Farage lost in Thanet South and has resigned as UKIP leader. Good riddance to loathsome rubbish.

Love & best wishes to all

  1. I can only hope and pray that we don't elect a Republican president. I am also hoping the Democrats can retake the majority in the Senate. Otherwise, 2017-2021 are going to be misery for LGBTQ, women, Hispanics, blacks, basically everyone except the top 1% in wealth.

It amazes me how people, especially average working people, can so easily be led to vote against their own interests. And even more amazed that 'minorities' do just the same - our new, openly gay, colleague is a fervent Tory. Surely he must know that there are many, maybe even a majority, in the party he supports that would quite happily recriminalise homosexuality and send him straight to prison? To be subjugated by authoritarians is one thing, but to vote for your own subjugation? Utter madness.
