Nothing whatsoever wrong with straight pride, as long as those espousing it extend the same courtesy to those who happen not to be straight. Which, of course, they rarely, if ever do.

DeleteAs per my colleague's comment the other day, my answer to these 'oppressed' fundies would be 'come and see what it's like on this side'. I don't think they're quite as prevalent over he, but we still have our share of 'Christofascists' - I was reading a post earlier about a UKIP councillor who has been opining about the recent rough (by UK standards) weather we've been having being due to his god's wrath over marriage equality. There's not much you can do apart from point and laugh in the face of such idiocy.
