...., maintaining their 100% record, the award for the most flagitiously gratuitous and inaccurate use of the word 'paedophile' (and its more recent disyllabic pejorative contraction) goes to....The Sun, for their front page headline of yesterday. I'd say they were a disgrace to journalism, but that would mean accepting that the ordure they produce is journalism at all. But then again, they belong to the Murdoch lies factory, so what else would you expect?

I stopped buying, or even looking at newspapers, years ago. I no longer have a television set for much the same reason: All media is commercially and, or politically controlled, by elite bodies that have a vested interest in controlling the minds of those they purport to serve.
ReplyDeleteThe most worrying aspect of this is that so many once "rational-thinking" people have already been brainwashed by global media, that intelligent discussion has largely become a thing of the past.

Hello Dave
DeleteI'm much the same, it's years since I've actually bought a newspaper, although I do still scan the headlines when I pass a shop display, hence seeing the aforementioned misuse of language, and although I have a TV, it spends most of its existence standing blank-faced in the corner.
And yes, the media's manipulation of the 'sheeple' for the benefit of the corporate class is as depressing as it is obvious.
Love & best wishes
