Thrash them into submission, revisited

If these people are allowed to open a school based upon their antediluvian worldview, the whole concept - or is it pretence? - of governmental oversight of education, and of child protection, in this country will have been consigned to the dustbin of history. 'To train up a child'. Vile, in the extreme.

  1. It's interesting that over here, you can open a "church" school with almost no oversight. There could easily be schools of this nature operating here and we'd never know it. There are myriad Christian schools, several within minutes of my house. No oversight. Homeschooling is rampant, too. I guess the defining thing is whether the kids can get into uni. That's the first standardized testing (ACT and/or SAT) they do, though some universities are not requiring that any more!

    1. Hello Jay
What concerns me here is not so much the religious aspect per se, but the potential for the physical abuse of children. There have been a couple of pretty high profile cases over here of children being killed because of this nonsensical 'witchcraft' meme, and a school which appears to embrace those kind of beliefs, and which seems to strongly accentuate discipline rather than education, would seem to me to be an idea with no redeeming features whatsoever.
