I've tried over the past week or so, and today in particular, to try and do what little I can to prevent someone who I 'met' in Blogland, and who I care about, from coming to any further harm, but it appears that all I've succeeded in doing is displaying my naïvety - I hope someone is enjoying their amusement at my expense. Trust is hard to build up, and very easy, apparently, to abuse, and to lose. I'll be keeping my head down for the foreseeable future, and sticking to what I know to be true, which means this blog will probably become little more than a glorified diary, perhaps with a few musings like those of the past couple of days. I'm feeling pretty sad and disillusioned with it all at the moment.
Love & best wishes to all

Sammy,
ReplyDeleteWhat I am about to say, comes from a good place.
But my god! Snap out of it. Why are you so precoupied by what other people think of you? Just write your blog and eventually you will come across bloggers you get along with.
Its just a blog, it should not be causing anyone any trouble!
Hello Ian
ReplyDeleteWhat I'm referring to here is an ongoing issue, which is rapidly becoming a saga, about spoof blogs and associated issues of trust, which has been twisting and turning in very unsettling ways, for about 10 days now. Apart from embarassment, and after today, disillusionment, I've suffered no personal damage, but there are others who have, one of whom is the person I was referring to in terms of my vainly trying to mitigate harm. There's no reason why you should have been aware of any of it, because mine is the only blog you follow where the issue would've been mentioned, and I appreciate your comment as being made in the right spirit. I'm just not very happy with life at the moment as a result, but I'll get over it - I'm a big boy, after all.
Love & best wishes

You are really being cryptic here. I'm sure I know who you are talking about but I can't imagine how you could affect the situation at the moment. Some things just have to play out by themselves.
ReplyDeleteHello Brian
ReplyDeleteNot all the transactions in the ongoing aftermath of 'Yacky Box' are being conducted in Blogland. I've done something today which won't have helped, and that I can only hope won't make matters worse.
Love & best wishes

P.S. to my previous reply:
Ian
My apologies, I wasn't aware you followed Gabe's blog - you may well know something of the ongoing issues.
SB
But why would you have done it if it couldn't help?
ReplyDeleteHello Brian
ReplyDeleteBecause, it seems, that I've been 'spoofed' again by someone claiming to be other than who they are, and in giving some information to that person that I shouldn't have done.
Love & best wishes
Sammy B
Oh no! You mean there are more than one?
ReplyDeleteHello Brian
ReplyDeleteIn all probability, the 'Yacky Box' farrago isn't the work of one person. To be honest, though, I've had enough of the whole sorry tale, hence what I said in the post about sticking to what I incontrovertibly know, i.e. my own real world life and thoughts.
Love & best wishes

Well, you sent me to Wikipedia once again, ha! You are expanding my vocabulary but I doubt I'll remember these words.
ReplyDeleteI really do feel that the whole thing is going to turn out to be more simple than everyone suspects at this point. I think it is just one misguided, over imaginative kid.
Hello Brian
ReplyDeleteI hope you're right, but somehow, and with all due respect, I think you're being over-optimistic.
Love & best wishes
